I’m Mike. I’ve been working in the world of photography for as long as I can remember. My work has always centered around people. People in factories. People behind fancy desks. People in fields of soybeans. People in race cars. People. That’s what I enjoy.
This wonderful career/life has taken me from the Outer Banks of North Carolina to the shores of Tulum, Mexico. From the vineyards of Napa to the board rooms of Fortune 500 companies. From the pristine golf courses of Georgia to the factories of South Carolina. I’ve been fortunate to see so many wonderful places and to meet so many awesome people. It’s been fulfilling.
Through it all I do my best to remember that I come from a family of givers. My father was career Coast Guard and my mother, the director of a soup kitchen she started in 1990. I am one of four children in a home like so many others. We laughed a lot. Told stories a lot. And learned to work hard.
Living now with my lovely wife, Lauren, on Lake Murray, SC we find ourselves very busy balancing our careers and raising our own family. We have two amazing daughters, Lucy and Ella. We do our best to continue the lessons of laughter and story telling and, of course, hard work.
As my career enters its 28th year I find myself looking back and smiling. I’ve met some wonderful people and I’ve enjoyed every minute. Cheers to that and to the next 28 years.
